The Prayer

So my sister and I went to Disneyland over the summer and she told me about Andrea Bocelli. I knew of him but never heard any of his songs. She proceeded to The Prayer by him and Celine Dion. By the end of the song I was crying like there was no tomorrow. It is the most beautiful song that has meaning that anyone can relate to.

THE PRAYER - ALL ENGLISH LYRICS
Celine : I pray you'll be our eyes and watch us where we go
And help us to be wise, in times when we don't know.
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way
Lead us to the place, guide us with your garce
To a place where we'll be safe.

Andrea :
The light that you give us

Celine:
I pray we'll find your light

Andrea:
will stay in our hearts

Celine:
And hold it in our hearts

Andrea:
Reminding us

Celine :
When stars go out each night

Andrea :
That in my prayer
You are the everlasting star

Celine :
Let this be our prayer

Andrea:
There's so much faith

Celine:
When shadows fill our day

Andrea:
Lead us to a place

Celine:
Guide us with your grace

Celine & Andrea:

Give us faith so we'll be safe
We dream of a world with no more violence
A world of justice and hope
Grasp your neighbors hand
As a symbol of peace and brotherhood

Andrea:
The strength that you give us

Celine:
We ask that life be kind

Andrea:
Is the wish

Celine:
And watch us from above

Andrea:
That everyone may find love

Celine:
We hope each soul will find

Andrea:
In and around himself

Celine:
Another soul to love

Celine & Andrea:
Let this be our prayer

Celine:
Let this be our prayer

Andrea:
Just like every child

Celine:
Just like every child

Celine & Andrea:
Need to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
And the faith that
you've lit inside us
I feel will save us.

I came to win

There comes a time when there is a need for a insiprational song to come along and just inspire people. My inspirtration song is Fly by Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. I recently discovered this song on Songsa and was surprised that I had never heard the song before. This is a song that everyone needs to listen to because it has a true message that everyone needs to hear.

Everyone goes through so much in their lives and thinks that they can't move on from what their lives are but people need to learn that they can fly and and succeed in their lives. It starts with just a little change and it is amazing the change that happens with that first little change.

Job hiring

This is my little annoyance. I am in search of a job at the moment so I went to craigslist and sent out emails to some posts and one person had the nerve to give me advice.

I have multiple emails set up in my mail client on my Mac and didn't realize what email I was sending the email from and I had forgotten to send along my resume so he sent a email back with this:
" Normally I would have just tossed this email but in an attempt to help you
find a job I thought I would give you a bit of advise.
First off, always send your resume and a proper cover letter.  Time is
valuable and nobody gives a darn if you are interested in this position.
You better be showing them something about you in a resume and letter to get
them interested in calling you.
Secondly.  Change your email address.  Its unprofessional and immature.
Not many people in a professional environment want an "uptownbabe" working
handling their business.

Good luck to you"

As someone whose dad was a English major and English teacher for awhile I have a firm grasp of the English language. So I sent a reply back to the person saying that it was advice not advise, gave definitions of both words, and that it was either working or handling. Can't have both unless you place "and" between the two words. They then had the nerve to respond back to me saying "lol touché" That is very unprofessional to have grammar issues AND after the person correcting them say lol touché. It is disrespectful to say that to a potential employee or someone that you know casually.

Mind your own business

So I went to Starbucks with my sister today after my final this morning just to get coffee with her and I arrived before her so I found a table with a outlet so that I can study for my next final. There was a couch that was behind me. My sister finally showed up and we got some coffee and sat back down at the table. There was a older guy that was behind me on the couch and every time that her and I would start talking the guy would stare at us. I didn't realize that he was looking at us till my sister said something so I told her to let me know that he looked at us again. So he did and I turned around and asked him if he wanted to join in on what we were talking about.

I can be rude but I have NEVER in my life have I been so rude to look at the people that were talking next to me. Yeah I will listen in but I know better to not look at them while they talked. Though what this guy was doing was more then just looking he was staring at us. When I turned around to ask him if he wanted to join in he got all flustered, grabbed his laptop and left.

If you are going to be listening in to what the people are talking about don't stare at them. To be good at listening in is to LISTEN to them not look at them every time they start talking. After awhile they will catch on to you and they will stop talking or just leave.

Who are you really?

Have you ever talked to your neighbors? I mean really talked to them?

I know few of my neighbors but it seems like I don't truly know who they are. When I come home from school the last thing that I want to do is talk to someone because I either have way too much homework, way too much on my mind or I am just not in the mood to be talking to someone.

There is such a social disconnect among people it is nuts. Yes we have blogs, twitter, Facebook, emails, ims and various other things that keep us "connected." This is not a real interaction among people. No matter how much you are addicted to such outlets there is still a little bit of a person that wants physical contact with a real human.

I got to thinking that if anything did happen to me no body would think to come check on me. I am also guilty of not being there for them either. Yes I do smile and wave as I pass them but nobody ever just stops and just talks about the weather and various other things.

We need to get back to those days where you trust your neighbors with your property and will trust that if you see something strange at their place that you would call them and then call the cops.

Ghosts

Have you ever felt like someone was watching you?

Ever felt that you are not alone?

I know both of those feelings. I have ghosts/spirits what ever you want to call them living in my house. Yup you heard me right. There are ghosts living in my house. They love to just hang out with me to keep me company. There is a little kid that lives there and they get shy when ever one of my friends comes over. I can't seem to tell if the kid is a male or a female but trusts me very much.

I have always seen them and been aware of them since I was a little girl. I will never forget the time that I saw one walking around my house. Even waved hi to me. It didn't even bother me even at such a young age.

Last summer my man and I went on a trip and one of the places that we went to was the Winchester house in San Jouse, CA and I swear I was greeted by Sarah Winchester herself when I went into her bedroom. We did the grand tour of the house and the grounds and one of the stops was the bedroom that Sarah slept in till she slept in till she passed away. I had stuck around in the room just to look around (the group hadn't gone far) and I noticed someone came from the closet on the other side of the room. Now it was impossible for anyone to be close to the closet because no one was allowed behind the velvet rope or they would have gotten busted for it, and I was the only person who was physically in the room. So I turned towards the closet and I saw Sarah standing there looking me over. I know what she looked like because of the research I have done about her house.

I had seen a special on the Travel Channel about the history of the house. It was so interesting that I had started doing my own research about it and they had photos of her. Sarah and I just stood there staring at each other and all of a sudden she got a smile on her face and pointed behind me. At that moment my man came back into the room to tell me that I had to catch up to the group cause they were moving to a different room.

So a question for you guys: have you ever had an experience with a spirit/ghost?
